What is an e-invoice and why is it important?

An e-invoice is a digital tax-compliant invoice that includes all the required information mandated by the IRBM. This format ensures accuracy, traceability and easy integration with tax reporting systems. Whether you’re managing personal finances or business transactions, an e-invoice is a reliable proof of transaction that meets regulatory standards.

How CelcomDigi supports e-invoicing

To align with IRBM requirements and enhance customer convenience, CelcomDigi began issuing LHDN-compliant e-invoices to all customers starting 1 July 2025. Every transaction you make directly with CelcomDigi is now automatically generated into a digital e-invoice. These e-invoices are securely stored and accessible through a dedicated CelcomDigi e-Invoice Portal. Each document includes a unique Transaction Identification Number (TIN) and complies with Malaysia’s latest digital tax standards.

Before retrieving your e-Invoice, it’s important to know how CelcomDigi issues them:

For postpaid and fibre customers

If you're on a postpaid plan or fibre plan, you will need to subscribe to e-Invoicing via the CelcomDigi e-Invoice Portal using your billing or service account number. Once subscribed, your LHDN-compliant e-Invoice will be emailed to you automatically each month — no need to request it manually.

For prepaid, device purchases, or one-time transactions

Made a one-time transaction or on a prepaid plan? You will need to submit a request via the CelcomDigi e-Invoice Portal by the 3rd day of the following month after your purchase. Once submitted, your e-Invoice will be delivered to your registered email within 24 hours.

How to retrieve your CelcomDigi e-billing e-invoice

To receive or request your e-Invoice, you must first create an account on the CelcomDigi e-Invoice Portal. Here's how:

Step 1: Visit https://einvoice.celcomdigi.com
Step 2: Fill in your registration details:

  • Identification number (e.g. NRIC or BRN)
  • Full name (as per your ID)
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN) (from MyTax Portal)
  • SST number (for businesses only)

Step 3: If you’re a postpaid or fibre customer, subscribe using your postpaid or service account number to start receiving monthly e-Invoices via email.
Step 4: Click ‘Register’.
Step 5: Check your email for a verification link to complete the registration.

Once you're registered, you can either let your e-Invoices come to you automatically (postpaid/fibre), or submit one-time requests (prepaid/devices) as needed.
